The Story – mr tease pt2

He kissed me, and I kissed him, and the world fell away, when I came back to my senses all I could do was fumble for words but before I could say anything he was already talking,

“look, I think you are a great guy, I can tell we could have a great time, but I know you have a boyfriend and I know you aren’t ready to leave him”

I shook my head, eyes glazed and staring at him, (what was happening)

“and when you are ready to leave him, I won’t be around”

I gestured for him to put his ear closer to my mouth, so he would hear me over the music,

“I know” I replied, it’s all I could say,

He smiled at me, shrugged then disappeared back into the crowd, I just stood there, confused, conflicted and very, very drunk….

He was right, I wasn’t ready to leave the boy in black, we had been through so much and I wasn’t about to quit now for a guy I hardly knew, though part of me would always cling on to ‘what if’….

It would be many years till I met Mr Tease again but that’s a story for another day.

I woke up, the light stung my eyes, mouth as dry as sand and all I could taste was garlic on my tongue, I looked down at myself the best I could, I was laid on top of the quilt with one shoe on, jeans around my ankles and top around my neck. My brain was trying to punch its way out of my skull and my stomach felt like a wasteland, I must have gone hard after my kiss with Tease, but that was the past now, I had to focus all my energy on getting back on track and moving on with my life and The Boy in Black, once this horrendous hangover was finished with me that is!

  1. So I’m new to following your story, I’m reading one instalment at a time in published order. The story sounds so much like others before it, you entered in to a monogamous situation when it seems that isn’t what you wanted, Why would you choose to stay with this “boy from the black” if he wasn’t open to been open. It seems little harsh for him too, and whilst I am personally all about going after what you want, whatever you want karma is a real life bitch. What if “The Boy From The Black” thought you were the one?

    1. Hi there,

At 18, it’s completely normal to make mistakes and experience a wide range of emotions, especially when it comes to relationships. Everyone’s journey is unique, and the ups and downs are part of growing and learning about yourself and others. Hard times can lead to conflicting feelings, but they also provide valuable lessons that help you understand what you truly want and need in a relationship. We need to learn to be kind to ourselves and remember that each experience is a step toward personal growth and a deeper understanding of love and connection.

      1. Personal growth and a deeper understanding of love and connection, Did you grow enough to tell “the boy from the black” the truth? In Psychology it is believed that if we don’t complete one stage of development we never truly move on. The same can be said in life and love….

      2. Hi,

I appreciate your perspective, but it’s important to recognize that dwelling on situations from 11 years ago isn’t healthy. That chapter of my life is well and truly closed. No one involved was completely innocent, and I’ve taken the time to accept, process, and move on from it. Holding onto the past only prevents us from fully embracing the present and future. Your conviction to the boy from the grey character is admirable. I’m happy that my personal views and story of a situation have you so invested. As of that character, we parted ways and cut ties. I hope wherever he is, he has found happiness over the last 11 years and has moved on. 11 years is a long time to still be holding on.

The secret from this may be/have been holding both you and this “boy from the black” back.
