The night had crept upon us

Rain was pouring down

And I could hear the voices

Past lovers all around

Mistakes flashing before me

Memories seeping in

I tried my best to focus

To make the memories thin

The shadow in our darkness

A replay of the past

Déjà vu at work now

Heartbreaks’ shadow cast
